As part of National Mentoring Month in January, mentors from our Melrose CARES Mentoring Program were honored at a “Mentor Recognition Night” at the Oak Grove Village Clubhouse in Melrose.  State Representative Paul Brodeur was on hand to congratulate the mentors and award citations from the State House in Boston. About 20 current and former mentors were recognized for their caring and commitment to making a difference in the lives of youth!     We were delighted to have Dick Sweeney, Co-Founder of Keurig Coffee as our guest speaker at the Mentor Recognition Night. Dick shared the story of Keurig’s evolution, and how the company was built on values of trust, respect and responsibility- much like a mentoring relationship.  A huge thanks to Dick for his inspiring story, and for donating 3 Keurig Coffee machines to use as door prizes!
