Love Is…Love Isn’t: Promoting Safe and Healthy Relationships in the Adolescent Years

This training provides an overview of the dynamics of teen dating violence, including a video featuring the personal story of a survivor of abuse. The training also covers school policies and procedures and the practical steps that teachers and other staff members can take to effectively intervene.  Specific topics include:

• Prevalence and why teens are vulnerable to abuse
• Early warning signs of abusive relationships
• The cycle of abuse and barriers to leaving
